Freesias in tubs?

i planted some freesia bulbs in some tubs in the first week of April, when do you think they will start coming up?

Freesias in tubs?
You could be lucky, I have had first year flowers from seed (when you can find them superior to corms i.m.o.) and corms. They do best in J I soil based compost, as peat based products dry and deplete rapidly. High % Potash feeds are beneficial. Avoid pots/containers overheating in blazing sun.
Reply:I planted mine in tubs at the beginning of March and they are now about 4 inches tall (some a little smaller) so I guess about 3 weeks to a month. You might want to check how deeply yours are planted - especially if they are not showing any signs of coming through as yet.

The general rule is not to plant bulbs any more than three times deeper than their height. Might be worth having a delve into the tubs to see if they are sprouting but are too deep and then replant them more shallowly if necessary.
Reply:Freesia corms take about 14 weeks from planting to bloom. ... so end of May,or thereabouts.
Reply:freesias don't do much the first year.they will not bloom, untill the second year.sorry
